MARCH MADNESS 2026

March Madness was a full day of community, competition, and purpose, bringing together teams, families, and supporters for an exciting basketball tournament. Throughout the day, players competed at a high level while guests enjoyed food, raffles, and time together as a community. Most importantly, the event helped raise funds to support our mission of serving children and families in need, turning a day of sports into meaningful impact.

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to carry the legacy of Maha Hakim by providing cost-free assistance, opportunities, events, and to elevate the quality of life in children and adults in the greater Los Angeles area.

We hope to create a place for those in need to seek help, and an opportunity to serve for those who feel called to give and help others, in honor of Maha.

Through this organization, we aim to finish the amazing work that Maha started, through numerous year-round events including free food and clothing drives, donation drop-offs, aiding immigrants, tutoring center and volunteering, free school supplies and textbooks, scholarships, by partnering with local schools and churches.

 RESOURCES & DONATIONS

One Step at a Time

Through your support, we hope to provide year-round resources for local families; whether that’s offering after-school programs, hosting community events, or stepping in during the holidays to bring joy to those who need it most. We are always striving to make a difference, and invite you to learn more and lend your support.

 SPORTS COLLECTIVE

Tournaments & Fundraisers

We believe every child deserves a safe, fun, and supportive place to grow. Our goal is to create sports-based programs that bring kids together, build confidence, and strengthen community through accessible, engaging activities. Our annual March Madness tournament & Summer All Star event brings this vision to life: high-energy sports events that unite players and families through competition and connection.

KIDS RETREAT FUNDRAISING

Celebrating fellowship

The Kids Retreat is a yearly tradition started by Maha & Ann Abrahem that brings children together for a weekend of fun, learning, and spiritual growth. To keep the camp open and accessible to all families, we rely on donations that help cover activities, supplies, meals, and sponsorships.

Your support makes it possible for every child to enjoy a safe, joyful, and enriching summer experience.

Maha was more than a church leader for me. She took me under her wings from when she first saw me. She had Marion, Mark, Mandi, and Michael. No words will ever come close to describe who she is to me. She was my second mom, my role model, and my best friend. She taught me to see the world with grace, to love with no conditions. She inspired me to be better. She was always encouraging and supportive. I never saw anyone that loves the way she loves. She didn’t just touch my heart, she planted one in me. A heart that loves and gives because that’s all she did.
